About Dr. Simon Ourian M.D.

Dr. Simon Ourian moved to the United States from Iran in the 1980s in hopes of a better life. A job at McDonald’s offered him an avenue to learn English and improve his communication skills as he sought more opportunities. It was this time where he also developed a love for film. The feature Ash Wednesday, which starred Elizabeth Taylor, and focused heavily on cosmetics, would inspire him to get into the business of beauty. 

As an artist and a sculptor, he certainly had the eye for beauty. Sculpting was a career he was supposed to trek, but a little encouragement from his parents would convince him to pursue a career in medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and was awarded his degree in Medicine from Wayne State University in Michigan.

And It was in his residency training at UCLA that Dr. Simon furthered his interest in the field of cosmetics and aesthetics. He continued to study advancements in anti-aging medical technology, and with his natural love for sculpting was able to combine both as he sought a higher purpose.

“My sculpting and cosmetic work are very similar. It is like a pointillist painting, where many small changes converge into an integrated whole.” he says of his twin passions.

Sharing his purpose to the world, he opened Epione Beverly Hills. It was more than a dream as it set the highest standard as the most comprehensive and state-of-the-art laser and aesthetics center in the world. Epione Beverly Hills earned its reputation as one of the first centers in California dedicated to the non-invasive procedures and the practice of aesthetic lasers. He was able to cement his status as a leading authority in medical aesthetic technology– even notably developing the Coolaser and Coolbeam technologies.
